Grade 5 students continue to build their understanding of human dignity and connect this to our shared mission: to respect their dignity and the dignity of others. As students grow to become independent decision-makers, the HDC lesson plan covers the manifestations of human dignity in freedom, solidarity, and culture through a mix of logic-based exercises and role playing activities. Lessons on the basic powers to eat, grow, and reproduce are complimented with discussions on habit building and what it means to pursue excellence as a human being.
